My friend Nicole posted about this photo contest. She’s trying to help an aunt of a friend of a relative (or something like that) with a reunion trip to Florida with her bridesmaids. From her wedding back in the 70s- how cool is that? The bride from the photo’s son is being treated for cancer, so I’m sure she has been dealing with a lot lately and it sounds like she could really use a getaway trip with her girlfriends.

EDITED TO ADD: Thank you all for your help so far! I am doing great and I have won quite a few of the states, according to my manager. There are still a lot that I need, though, so if you know anyone in those states please put in a good word for me. I just bumped this post up, and the the list of states is updated each time I get a new order.

I am participating in an Avon contest with my district. It’s called Miss America Avon and the goal is to get an order through my website from each state in the USA. The first rep to get an order starting on 11/12 (Wednesday) from each state wins a prize. Like if I get the first Missouri order, I get the “Missouri Prize.” Also the rep who has the most states total (even if they weren’t the first order-er from that state) wins a prize at the end. Anyone who gets all 50 states also wins a big prize.

So here is what I am proposing- if there is anything you can POSSIBLY order from my website, please order it! Even if it is a 79 cent lip balm. It doesn’t matter the size of the order. You can use the code REPFS for free shipping. You have to choose Direct Delivery (Avon ships to you) for your order to qualify. Also if you decide to do this you will get a little thank you from me! Feel free to spread the word if you want.

Blog Makeover

Doesn’t it rock? My makeover was done by See My Designs By Shauna and I am so excited to have a pretty blog now! If you want a new look for your blog (or even just a new header or background) check out her site. She was great to work with, and her prices are really reasonable. I was lucky enough to have won the makeover contest at Berrie Sweet Picks, so I got it for free… but I totally would have paid for it.

Shauna did exactly what I was imagining, only she came up with it all on her own and then showed me her ideas.  And she didn’t yell at me or get mad when I asked lots of stupid questions.

Skin So Soft Giveaway

I love spring and summer… warm weather and lots of time to spend outside. But in Missouri, it gets muggy and there are lots of mosquitoes! In honor of warm weather (finally) arriving for good, I am giving away two Avon Skin So Soft products.

The first is the Skin So Soft oil in a 5 oz spray. This is the original Skin So Soft product that most people have heard of. It goes on easily and smells nice. It isn’t sticky and is colorless. I honestly have no idea how it keeps the bugs away, but it works!

The other choice is the Skin So Soft Bug Guard Expedition in a pump spray. This has SPF 30 and is a little bit smaller than the one shown on the website. It’s the perfect size for a purse or diaper bag, and would also be great for camping or more “outdoorsy” type activities.
