My friend’s “Friend”

Tonight we hung out with a good girlfriend of mine and her new male friend. Well I guess he’s really not so new… they have been dating for like three months now… but it’s just kind of a slowly progressing situation so we have been hesitant to double date. You know, the whole “double date with a married couple and their child” thing can be kind of intimidating.

Anyway, it turned out really nice. I think everyone had fun and it was pretty laid back. This guy works doing mortgage stuff and we talked a little bit about sales jobs. After my mom brought Bailey back to our house he played with her- and wasn’t just “faking it” to impress my friend. I thought that was nice. Jonathan did not make too many weird jokes. We just had hamburgers and chips and salad, but then for dessert we did chocolate fondue. It was comfortable and I didn’t feel like I had to impress this guy. I know that sounds weird but whenever a good friends gets a new boyfriend you always worry whether you will all get along. But I think they will be a good couple to double date with.
