Jonathon is going to an allergist! Woo hoo

Thank God. Since I have known him, he has been sniffling and hacking about 75% of the year. He got a new PCP and they referred him to an allergist. Today he goes and sees this allergist for the first time. He THINKS they are going to do allergy tests today but my guess is that it will just be an initial consultation. Please God, let this fix his nasty sinuses and nose.

Has anyone had allergy testing done as an adult? DO they still do all the needles in your back like they did back when I was a kid?

    When Ricky went a few months ago they did the dreaded needles in the back technique. He did say, however, that office seemed a big “old school”. I don’t know any other way for them to check though. I hope it all goes well!!!!
    Oh and he spent all of that money going to the allergist to tell us what we already thought: his highest off the charts allergy is cats. And then poor Salem had to go… :(

    I always had it done on my arm – good luck, allergies SUCK (I have them as well!)

    i’ve seen the allergies checked not with the needles, but with a small scratch test that is supposedly less painful…hope this is more like what he has to have done!
