It’s not over till it’s over

Filed Under Eight Months, Sick | 6 Comments

Tonight I am sitting awake on Puke Watch. We went out for a bit tonight and left Bailey with my parents. She seemed to be doing fine although she didn’t eat or drink a whole lot and went to bed early. When we got there around 11, we got her out of the Pack N Play and she proceeded to throw up all over me about five minutes later. So we waited there for a while to make sure it wasn’t going to happen again. Dumb mommy didn’t pack an extra outfit so she rode home in one of Grampa’s t-shirts. She looked like a cute little friendly ghost. On the way home she had a massive poop explosion.

Once we got home she nursed and seemed fine. She went right to sleep a little over two hours ago but of course I am up checking on her repeatedly. Jonathon put a small tv in her room and I watched some shows with the volume down really low (thank God for subtitle service) and then I took a break to put in some Avon orders and check email. And of course blog.

Please pray that my girl is back to normal and is all done puking. It’s really not fun and it makes me so sad and worried.

Don’t forget the pedialyte so she doesn’t get dehydrated. If she is old enough, the braty(y for yogurt) diet- but I don’t know if she is able to eat all that entails… I really liked the gerber electrolyte mix because they had individual packets so it didn’t all go to waste if they didn’t finish or the pedialyte individual bottles.

Oh, you must be a wreak! I hate when my baby is sick and I am sure you have been terribly worried with her throwing up like that. I hope she gets better fast!

Oh no! Poor Bailey! I really hope she feel 100% very very soon. Hugs to you both!

awww poor baby! And poor mommy and daddy too! It’s pretty scary.
And like Julie said, the pedialyte is perfectly safe for her now and it’ll help her. But it sounds like she’ll be just fine. Kids puking makes me sad too…

Sorry to hear that she is still sick! Keep pumping her with fluids…and wash your hands a lot! Elle had the stomach flu last week & Joe & I both caught it.

ugg, that flu bug is the worst. We went thru this in November, and it was awful – poop and puke everywhere. Just when I thought it was done, it would hit. Pedialyte and frozen fruit to suck on is about my only suggestions. Hang in there! Hugs to B and you
