Small Crisis Today

Bailey somehow lost one of her earrings. I looked at her ear this morning and actually thought, “What! There is something wrong with her earlobe” when I looked at the hole. Duhhh, wake up Tara. It took me a second to realize her earring was missing. I can’t find it anywhere, so either it is really lost or she ate it. I put in my starter earrings from when I got my ears pierced in like 1985. They were the first small ones I could find but I know at least they are like 14k gold or something.
Anyway here is the best pic I could get of the new earrings she has on. It was such a battle to change them. Kicking, screaming. I almost let her wear one star earring and one of her old ones. I won’t be changing her earrings voluntarily for a long time.

Oh no! Hope you find it
It won’t be the last instance, either. Seriously, Boo loses an earring a month. At least. Don’t even get me started with the sudden gold allergy of 2004. Then the strange infection that couldn’t be killed of 2005. Now she can only tolerate silver and those tarnish so quickly, especially with frequent baths. Changing a 3 year olds earrings? Forget it. I will never get a young child’s ears pierced again. The babies must be 10.
Hopefully Bailey will be more tolerant than my crazy Boo.
But they do look so cute with earrings!

that’s so cool that you saved your old ones though.. really neat I think. I do hope you find the old one though! Cause these babies have radar vision with that stuff. And if you don’t find it..well… then most likely it’s history (don’t worry). lol
If you could do it all over again, would you pierce her ears this young again?
Definitely. I would do it all over again, and if we have another daughter I will get her ears pierced again as a baby. They have been very easy to take care of, and this is the first “issue” we’ve had in four months. I would rather do it now, when I can be the one keeping them clean, and know that they are cleaned right and taken care of : )
