I just wanted to pop in and say hi. I have been kind of blah lately… not sure why. This weekend has been rather uneventful since Thanksgiving. Hung out with my parents and Jonathon some more, and went to church. Tried to take cute Christmas pics of Bailey today and failed miserably. Went to meet some friends at Starbucks, we were running late, paid $8 for drinks for the two of us, and everyone left soon after we got there. Now I am listing some stuff on Craigslist and just took a quick break from that. Do you think women’s lingerie has a good resale value? LOL

Oh, and the bill from Jonathon’s recent doctor stuff came and we owe $450. Merry Christmas. I tore it in half and figure if they want the money, they will send me a bill again next month. And that’s SO not like me, but I’m sick of these bills. If only I was poor and didn’t bother to have health insurance. Those guys who work the system, they’ve got it made.

Anyway, I couldn’t leave you without any new Bailey pictures :)

Im sorry you’re blah. Medical bills SUCK! We too have insurance and the lovely bills that go with it.

    Yay for Starbucks though.

I could just HUG her over and over! Thanks for the pics :)

I heart Bailey! What a dollface!

I hear ya on the blah thing. Is it contagious? Seems like a lot of people we know are going through the same thing.

Starbucks Peppermint Mocha is how I get through the holidays. ;)

I so hear ya on the medical bills thing. DH is self-employed, so we don’t have insurance. I would love to have insurance, but for self-employed people, the premiums are insanely expensive. We are just one little teeny step above qualifying for gov’t aid….or I’d definitely be milking the system. LOL :) We have a big hospital bill looming over our heads right now. I hate it.

Bailey is so gorgeous! She is going to be such a beautiful young lady. I think you are going to have to lock her up and throw away the key when she is a teenager.

Yep, I hate those bills too. Everybody has a story, but I have to share one as well.
My husband got an implant to help control his seizures… well, days after it was put in at the hospital we went to the Doctor’s office for them to switch it on.

$800 bill for that. Because they said it WASN’T an office visit, but a surgery procedure. And we had insurance! I was soooooooooo pissed.
All the guy did was put this wand over the implant and switch it on. It took less than 2 minutes.

And we had to pay this out of pocket because of our deductible.

So yeah. People with insurance get so majorly screwed anyways. Grrr.

Medical bills are a lot cheaper to have insurance than NOT have insurance. I have stood in those shoes. $35,000 in medical bills is much worse than a large deductible.

lol I am “poor” and just not poor enough- Rick actually makes good money but you wanna talk about medical bills :) We’ve been paying them for a long time now it seems. I finally paid off my obgyn but still have my lovely 1600 dollar epidural and since I’m not teaching my grant that the state gave me turned into a loan for a thousand dollars- fun fun I just wanted to say that back when I had tyler I was poor enough to have help from the state and I needed it because my job didn’t offer health insurance and rick had just gotten back from the military but was no longer active duty soooo he no longer had military insurance and had to wait for open enrollment at his work to re-start the health insurance then but by the time it was their enrollment period I was already pregnant and therefore uncovered for maternity- THEN this time, he was self-employed but when he signed up I had to wait a year without getting pregnant to be covered- and well….surprise- so no coverage and many medical bills.
