Not mine anymore

Sometimes I wish my boobs could be mine for just a day. I mean not leaking, not too full, not being gnawed on… Right now they are just a bottle, a feeding machine. I wonder if they will ever be viewed the same way again. Too much time is spent dealing with them. Not that I am wanting to wean the Muffin anytime soon, but they would just like an afternoon off. Like a little holiday.

just wait until you wean….if what happens to you, is what happened to me– they will someday be yours but not like you once remembered them …sigh.
That’s why I had to stop after a year. Not only are your boobs not yours, but your whole body is not yours. You have to be careful of what you eat, drink and what meds you take (just like when you were pregnant). I got tired of not having that freedom after almost 2 years of having to police what went into my body.
It’s so worth it in the end, but yeah, it’s nice to have your body back to yourself. Weaning is bitteersweet. You miss those special moments and knowing that something from you is nourishing your baby, but you won’t miss the lack of freedom.
I sometimes wonder how weird it might be for my DH….’cause he sees me topless in bed nursing a baby all the time. LOL Just seems like he would kinda look at me different after that. Oh well….I guess we can’t stay young and hot forever. hee hee
